Apache Installation (Mac)

Enable Apache

From the command line::

  apachectl start
  cd /etc/apache2/
  sudo cp httpd.conf httpd.conf.bak

edit the httpd.conf file and uncomment the bit about LoadModule

Update the following directives including the location where your checked-out HAGR::

    ServerAdmin YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS
    ServerName hagr.ageing-map.org:8080
    DocumentRoot "/Users/YOUR_USERNAME/workspace/hagr"
    ErrorLog /Users/YOUR_USERNAME/workspace/hagr/error.log
    CustomLog /Users/YOUR_USERNAME/workspace/hagr/access.log combined

Also within the <Directory> directive, change the value::

  AllowOverride None

  to

  AllowOverride All

  e.g.
  <Directory />
    AllowOverride All
    Require all granted
  </Directory>
  
Apache runs on port 8080 by default, so the app should be available at http://localhost:8080

Apache can be restarted with::

  sudo apachectl restart
